Jamie’s Story

Jamie grew up in Johnston, Iowa, and graduated from Johnston High School in 1996. After graduating from Grand View University in 2000, Jamie worked in the golfing business for 19 years before switching to concrete.

In 2010, Jamie started working with Pete Iverson at Iverson Construction, Inc. He worked as a foreman learning the techniques of the concrete industry. They did all flatwork—new, tearout, and replacement—whether residential or commercial. Pete Iverson retired at the beginning of 2020, and Grimm Concrete Services Inc. was formed. Pete now works for Grimm Concrete Services Inc., bringing his 45+ years of experience.

Jamie has been married for over 20 years to his wife April Grimm and has one son, James Grimm, who is currently attending law school. Besides pouring concrete, Jamie enjoys fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family.
